Kaleidoscope XR is looking to hire a skilled developer, proficient with Unreal 5. We are a VR/AR company specializing in training simulations, working on cutting edge projects. As a company we’re focused on doing social good and work extensively within healthcare and other sectors. We put game development techniques and gaming technologies to work, building fun and effective multi-user platforms which improve care and save lives.

Your background

  • Experienced developer
  • Strong working understanding of C++
  • Strong working understanding Unreal Engine 4/5
  • Willingness to step out of your comfort zone, go places no developer has gone before
  • VR/AR/MR Development Experience (Strongly preferred but not required)
  • Experience with Unity (Preferred but not required)
  • General experience working with 3D tools and assets (Preferred but not required)

Kaleidoscope XR is looking to hire a skilled Technical Artist. We are a VR/AR company specializing in training simulations, working on cutting edge projects. As a company we’re focused on doing social good and work extensively within healthcare and other sectors. We put game development techniques and gaming technologies to work, building fun and effective multi-user platforms which improve care and save lives.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement animations as an integral part of the asset delivery pipelines
  • Work with design and development leads to collaboratively develop assets
  • Develop technical animation pipelines and tools
  • Creates automated animation setups and rigs
  • Mentor staff by giving constructive and creative feedback and support
  • Define how elements within projects will interact
  • Proactively solve technical challenges

Requirements

  • Ability to work with clients and dev team to conceptualize assets from start to finish
  • Strong working knowledge of 3DS Max/Maya/Blender and Photoshop
  • Experience in creating art assets for games using 3DS Max/Maya/Blender
  • Proficiency in MaxScript/MEL
  • Relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of character and vehicle animation pipelines
  • Self-driven, responsible, and detail-oriented person
  • Passion for helping people
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies
  • Team player

Pluses

  • Experience working on VR or AR projects
  • Experience using and integrating with Unreal Engine 4/5
  • Experience with Unity
  • Experience using version control (Github/PlasticSCM)
  • Experience in other scripting and programming languages
  • Knowledge of complex rigging
